Park in the car park near the port and lake in Nort-sur-Erdre.
The route you will be taking is marked in yellow in both directions and complies with FFRP standards.
(S/E) Head towards the lake, taking the paved path. Opposite the jetty, turn right. Continue to the road and immediately turn left to enter the Parc du Plan d'Eau. Then follow the banks of the Erdre for about 300 metres.
(1) Turn right onto the paved path to reach Boulevard du Port Mulon. When you reach the road, turn left. At the roundabout, turn left again to reach the Port Mulon slipway.
(2) Follow the quay and walk along it to the end. Then take the stairs and go up the road in front of you. At the intersection, turn left. Then enter the castle courtyard and go around it on the left near the Erdre. This castle is the former residence of Prosper François Barthélémy Coinquet, mayor of the commune from 1860 to 1874 and from 1877 to 1892.
(3) When you reach the park, continue straight ahead through the undergrowth, following the Erdre river for about 600 metres.
(4) Near the campsite, turn left towards the wooden footbridge and cross it. On the other side, take the path opposite and follow the lane through the undergrowth. Continue straight ahead for about 400 metres.
(5) At the edge of the woods, turn left and continue to the road, passing under a power line. On your right, you will see the Beaumont racecourse. Classified asa 2nd category national racecourse, it covers an area of 24 hectares and hosts several events each year.
(6) At the road, head straight ahead into the village of La Noë Guy. At the next intersection, turn right twice and continue straight ahead.
(7) At the intersection, turn left onto the road, then turn right onto a stabilised path. After passing the farm, turn left, enter the Marais de Blanche Noë and continue straight ahead for 1 km (see information "during the hike").
(8) At the first intersection, turn left and head towards the Croix du Marais. At the cross, turn right and at the next intersection, turn right again to take the path known as the "Tortillard".
(9) When you reach a sign explaining the surrounding flora, take the path through the marsh on the left and continue straight ahead.
(10) Back on a paved path at the edge of the marsh, turn right and head towards the Nantes-Brest Canal.
(11) On the towpath, turn left and head towards the Quiheix lock, which offers a beautiful view of the Erdre. Cross over and return along the towpath, following the Nantes-Brest Canal.
(12) At La Blanchetière, cross the canal and continue along the towpath towards the north-west. Pass under the railway line, then under the D26 and past the Tindière lock. Take the first right at a wide bend to the right.
(13) Turn right to join the road leading to the village of Plessis Pas Brunet. At the first crossroads, turn right, and at the next three-way junction, turn left.
After the 90° turn, continue straight ahead, cross the village and when the road curves sharply to the right, take the path opposite and continue to the T-junction.
(14) Turn left onto a local road. Cross it by first turning right then left, and continue along the road opposite for a good hundred metres.
(15) Turn right onto the first road to join the D26, Route de Casson.
(16) Follow it to the left to reach the town centre and Rue François Dupas.
(17) Turn right onto Rue des Brosses and then right again at the intersection to join Rue du Stade.
At the roundabout, turn left onto Impasse du Parc to reach Château Port Mulon.
(3) Turn left and follow the same route back to the car park at the harbour and lake (S/E).
