Park your car in Morey-Saint-Denis, along Rue de la Combe, from the junction with Rue de la Bidaude.
(S/E) Walk up Rue de la Combe, which quickly turns into a track. When the track turns right, continue straight on along the path at the bottom of the valley. This path, marked in yellow, leaves the valley via steps (steep section) and then heads north-east (a slightly challenging section), offering a beautiful view of the valley and the hillside.
(1) On the plateau, leave the marked trail and take a grassy path to the left (west), which joins a small road.
Take this road to the left and pass the Mountain Farm equestrian centre. As you leave the centre, turn left onto a path running alongside a pasture.
(2) After passing under a power line, turn sharply left then right onto a path through the undergrowth, marked in yellow again. Keep right at the fork and continue to the junction with a wide track.
(3) Continue straight on: sign for the Félix Batier Trail, very difficult descent. Take the second path on the left, downhill, still marked in yellow, to the splendid viewpoint located just before the difficult descent.
(4) Turn back, and after rejoining the main path, take a short detour along a path on the right to pass by a spring feeding a footbath (a basin for cleaning horses’ hooves). Continuing on, rejoin the main path and reach the wide track.
(3) Turn right onto it: signposted ‘Sentier Félix Batier’, easy route. Follow it down to the junction with theGR® de Pays des Grands Crus.
(5) Follow it to the left, heading north. This path, which is initially fairly flat, turns right and descends steeply.
(6) Halfway down the slope, turn left onto a vineyard path which leads directly back to the starting point (S/E).
