Free parking at Château de Briançon.
(S/E) Facing the château, head towards it and follow the outer left wing of the château. Take the passage to the right of the toilets. Cross the bridge over the Yères. At the crossroads with Rue de la Plage, turn right and then immediately left. Enter Rue des Érables opposite and pass Rue des Sorbiers.
(1) Turn right onto Chemin (tarmac) de la Cavée and continue along the dirt track.
At each crossroads, go straight ahead. When you reach the flat section in Mont Jolibois, ignore the path on the left.
(2) Turn right, then further down the path on the right leading down next to the municipal campsite. You will arrive at the D222. (You can reach the beach by using the pavement on the left).
Turn left after 15 metres to cross the D222 and join a path that descends via steps and runs alongside a nature observation centre. Turn left onto Chemin de Soupirs to reach the English Channel.
(3) Turn right and take Rue de la Plage, cross the bridge over the Yères, then continue for about 400 m. Turn right and walk along the car park. On the square, turn right after Le Coq Hardi then continue on the pavement for a few dozen metres to reach the motorhome car park.
(4) Enter the car park and turn diagonally left to enter the path. Continue along Impasse des Avocettes, then, opposite, along Avenue de la Marne. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead along Rue du 11 Novembre.
(5) At the junction with Avenue de la Belgique, turn right into the cul-de-sac. At the end, turn left and the path continues along Avenue du Casino. At the crossroads, turn right onto Rue du Parc and continue to the end.
(6) Take the path on the left, along the Hyères. Cross the bridge and turn right onto the private road to leave the property (access authorised for hikers). At the end, turn left.
(7) After about 30 metres, take the path on the left (blue sign: Chemin piétonnier).
Observe the orchard on your right as you continue and pass between the walls to reach Rue du Moulin à Huile.
At the three-way junction, bear left and after a few dozen metres, on the left, you will find the path that leads to the bridge, the castle and then the car park at the start (S/E).
