Park in the car park of the village hall in Huisseau-sur-Mauves (near the water tower).
(S/E) Cross the Allée des Uxellois and take the Sentier des Vignes near the village hall. Turn right onto Rue du Bois de Deure, then take the dirt track on the left after about a hundred metres.
The almost straight route heading south-west leads to the hamlet of Le Pater after a short stretch on a tarmac road, which continues from the track.
(1) Turn right at the junction with the cross street, then left towards Les Aunats.
The lane crosses the Mauve before reaching the hamlet of Les Aunats. Turn left at the crossroads; this road runs parallel to the riparian vegetation associated with the Mauve de la Détourbe and leads to a cross-road.
(2) Continue left then take the road, Impasse de Prélaville, keeping to the right. Leave the Chemin de Brasset on your right to head towards Prélefort Castle, which can be glimpsed through the vegetation, after crossing the Mauve de la Détourbe once more. The Route de Prélefort turns left away from the château, crosses two Mauves and runs alongside a poplar grove. At the junction with the cross-country path, turn right.
(3) Turn right again a few metres further on. The path, initially tarmac and earth, becomes a country lane as it leads to the hamlet of La Challerie. Do not continue towards the stud farm but turn left onto the tarmac road, Impasse de la Challerie. Pass the turnings on the right, then keep right at the junction with Rue de la Challerie.
(4) Leave this immediately to walk alongside the farmhouse on your left. Cross the D3 (take care), then a cross-path. Continue until you reach a right-angled crossroads.
(5) Leave the small tarmac road and take a dirt track on the left heading north. Enter the Bois de Vérelle, then turn left at the crossroads.
(6) Turn right to follow the edge of the woods. This almost straight path eventually crosses a cross-road; follow it to the left. Continue on the tarmac.
(7) Take the track running alongside the road to the right, then turn left at the junction with the main road (D105). Keep going in the same direction past the castle, Rue du Bois de Deure, then turn right at the water tower, just after the town hall, to reach the village hall and its car park (S/E).
