Depart from the car park at Col de Fréland on the left-hand side of the road coming from Aubure.
(S/E) From the car park, take the wide path marked with red, green and red-white-red rings towards Roche du Tétras. After a few metres, you will reach the first intersection.
(1) Leave the path on the left (return path) marked with a green ring and continue slightly to the right, guided by the red-white-red rectangle. On a downward curve, ignore the path ascending to the right. Continue along the wide, slightly descending carriageway (signposted Roche du Tétras and red-white-red rectangle). You will reach an intersection with paths coming from the left and right.
(2) Continue straight ahead, leaving the steeply descending path on the left and the ascending path on the right. Follow the red-white-red rectangle and the red ring marker. You will arrive at the Col du Kalblin. Leave the road that curves sharply to the right and continue straight ahead, guided by the red ring visible a few metres ahead. After 100 metres, you will come to an intersection with a path marked with a red-white-red rectangle.
(3) Leave Ursprung/Saint-Alexis on your right and Aubure/Col de Fréland on your left to continue straight ahead on a short, steep climb towards Roche du Tétras/Koenigstühl, guided by the red-white-red rectangle. Stay on the path lined with boundary stones, winding between blueberry bushes and rocks. You will come to an intersection with a path coming from the left and a red rectangle marker.
(4) Continue straight ahead to Rocher du Tétras. Climb the ten stone steps to reach the summit. Take care on the rocks.
Return by descending the stone steps and continue to the intersection you found on the way up.
(4) Take the path marked with a red rectangle and red ring on the right as you descend. After a kilometre or so of descent on a pretty path through ferns, you will reach a wide path coming from the right. Take this path straight ahead, still following the red ring and red rectangle. About a hundred metres further down, you will come to a wide bend to the right. Ignore the paths leading off to the left up towards Koenigstühl and continue to the intersection at the end of the bend.
(5) Don't miss it. Leave the path marked with a red ring on your right and continue along the wide forest path until you reach a fork (at a bench on the left side of the path).
(6) Leave the wide path on the right (Anneau Rouge) heading towards Aubure and take the path on the far left marked Anneau Vert. Cut across a path and continue straight ahead. Climb a short hill and you will come to an intersection with the wide path you took on the way there.
(1) Turn right and descend towards the nearby car park (S/E).
