Car park on the edge of the D11.3 (Grand Rue) next to Fréland town hall or behind it via Rue des Violettes.
(S/E) From the town hall, cross Grand Rue at the pedestrian crossing to take Rue de l'Église. Go up this street and walk along the cemetery.
(1) Go around the cemetery and continue along Chemin de Choé, which runs alongside it. Continue along the path that climbs and winds through the forest to reach the hamlet of Choé in the middle of the hillside fields.
Continue along the small road that runs alongside a few houses on the left.
(2) At the intersection with the path from Ongrange, take the hairpin bend to the right and continue towards Col de Chamont.
(3) At the fork, continue left. Once you have crossed the forest and fields, you will quickly reach Col de Chamont.
(4) At the pass, admire the landscape and the two sculptures symbolising the meeting of man and woman, and take a rest on the bench conveniently positioned in the shade of an old tree.
Continue along the small road that descends towards Lapoutroie. Admire the sumptuous panorama as you pass and, at a right-hand bend, leave the road and continue straight on along the path that leads to a forest and a relay antenna.
(5) When you reach the foot of the forest, turn left just before the small shelter (sign on the wall) and continue along a path that descends into the forest towards Ongrange.
(6) When you leave the forest, take the small road for about 20 metres and then continue along a path on the left that crosses the fields towards the bottom of the valley and Fréland, towards a small group of houses (the path is marked with a green triangle).
Quickly rejoin the small road one bend further on, take it on the left and follow it until you climb up the other side of the small valley.
(7) At the Y-junction, turn right and pass through the centre of Ongrange. Continue along the small road towards Fréland to reach the crossroads by the church.
(1) Head back down Rue de l'Église towards the town hall and the car park (S/E).
