As for the ‘binges’

The walk starts from the car park opposite Aubinges Town Hall.

(S/E) Take the Route de Ruelle (towards Les Aix-d’Angillon, D133), keep left at the junction, then continue across the D46 to reach Ruelle.

(1) Turn left onto the Route de Croiche.

(2) Turn right towards the hamlet of Les Vincents. Drive straight through the Bois des Vincents. Turn left at the edge of the woods and continue for a few metres.

(3) Leave the path leading to La Grive on your left and take the path on the right, continuing straight on for 2 km, ignoring any roads or paths on either side. You will see the Château de Saint-Céols on your right

(4) At the junction, turn left. Carry straight on at the crossroads leading to the hamlet of Conques and the Croiche farm.

(5) Leave the path on your right that descends towards Morogues and turn left to reach the hamlet of Loye.

(6) Turn left and continue along the tarmac section, passing the Loye estate.

(7) Turn left, cross the ford and turn right at the first junction. Walk alongside the various lakes until you reach the D46.

(8) At the junction, carry on straight ahead and, after crossing the Colin, return to the town hall car park (S/E).

For your information: 2 km of tarmac, most of which is between (S/E) and (2).

Wear good walking boots (mid-cut to provide good ankle support) to avoid possible sprains when climbing on stony paths. Walking poles are also recommended.

Don’t forget to bring a drink to keep you hydrated. There are no water points along the route.
