Around Soulangis

Start: Soulangis church square.

(S/E) Follow the D56 towards Les Aix-d’Angillon. Cross the road and take the first right, in front of the village hall. Then take the path on the left after the cemetery and cross the Pisse Vieille stream.

(1) Turn right after the poplars. Follow the path for about 1 km, then turn left.

(2) Turn right and follow the path for about 700m, until you reach the path on the right (elevation 165m). Then turn right and cross the bridge over the Langis.

(3) Take the first path on the left. After the water intake station, turn right and join the D33 road. Follow the road to the left for about 400m towards Saint-Michel-de-Volangis.

(4) Turn right onto the C3 towards Menetou-Salon. Ignore a path branching off to the right and continue to the apple trees.

(5) Turn left and walk alongside the apple trees. Then follow the tarmac road slightly to the left towards the hamlet of Dalué and continue to the bend before the hamlet of La Cassaterie.

(6) Leave the tarmac road and take the path straight ahead. Turn right and continue to the C3 road. Follow the road to the left.

(7) At the junction, take the path on the left, then the first path on the right. At the end, turn left, then right, and go straight on until you reach the D56.

(8) Turn left onto the D56 (stay on the left-hand side, facing the traffic) and follow the road to the bend at the bottom of the descent.

(9) Take the path on the right. Further on, turn right. After the climb, turn left and follow the path to the C3 road. Continue left along this road for about 500m.

(10) Turn right and follow the path through the woods.

(11) At the junction, turn right. Head south, ignore a path coming from the left and you will reach a fork.

(12) Turn left and head straight towards the village, ignoring all side paths. Take Impasse du Lavoir and turn left at the bridge over the Langis. You will immediately arrive at the church square (S/E).

Bring high-top walking shoes in case of muddy conditions and walking poles to help you over small bumps.
Bring water to keep yourself hydrated.

You can also start from the village hall car park if there is no more space in front of the church.

In wet weather, certain sections between points (6) and (7) are difficult to navigate: you can continue along the road from point (5) to point (7).
