From Bouillon Castle to Sedan Castle

(S) Opposite the castle entrance, turn right to reach Boulevard Vauban on the banks of the Semois. Turn left and continue to the Porte de France.

(1) Keep going in the same direction on Route de Corbion, then after 200 metres, turn right onto Sentier Lamirant. Ignore all the turnings on the left and stay on the banks of the Semois until you reach the Moulin de l'Épine footbridge.

(2) Stay on the same bank of the Semois and climb up the hillside to the Moulin de l'Épine viewpoint, located about 50 metres from the GR®.

(3) Turn left to reach the Augustins viewpoint (beautiful view of the Tombeau du Géant).

(4) After the viewpoint, the slope levels out and the trail joins a wide path. Head right and, keeping the same direction, join Rue du Boulet and a calvary with picnic tables at the corner of two streets.

(5) Turn right onto Rue de Falimont and, after several streets, near the church, you will reach the junction of the GR®14 and the GR®14 "variante crues de la Semois".

(6) Leave the variant and take Rue du Chairi, descending to the border.

(7) Cross the Ruisseau de la Goffe stream and then climb up to the Route Forestière de Mollevau.

(8) Turn left, cross the road (D777) with caution and continue in the same direction until you reach a three-way junction (Route Forestière du Douaire).

(9) Keep right and follow the old Sedan-Bouillon railway line for 4 km. You will arrive at a three-way junction. At this point, leave the old "Bouillonnais" railway line

(10) Go down to the left to Olly. Pass the castle and then the memorial to the 1870 war. Cross the Hatrelle stream, then turn right at the corner of the old fortified house just before the departmental road. Walk on flat ground, then continue uphill on the first path on the left until you reach the D129.

(11) Turn right and walk along the side of the road, then take the^first road on the left. Continue along a path that curves to the right and reaches a crossroads. Take the path on the right and follow it to the road from Illy to Sedan.

(12) Go up to the left on the road until you reach the Croix Margueritte.

(13) Leave the paved road and take the farm track opposite. Keep going in the same direction until you reach a place called La Ferme de la Garenne.

(14) Continue straight ahead, ignoring the turnings on the right, and descend to a multiple junction at La Garenne.

(15) Ignore the tarmac and take Chemin du Tournant Simonet until you reach Promenade du Fond des Buses. Continue straight ahead on a small path above the houses, then take Chemin Simonet and Rue du Vieux Camp, and descend to Porte des Princes (E).
