(S/E) From Place de la Mairie, find Square E. Viala at the top of the square. In front of the square, turn left down a new road. Cross the D993 at the pedestrian crossing. Go down the stony path to the small road called "Mas Ragou" and turn right. Pass Moulin de la Cinque, currently a Gîte de France, and 25 metres further on, turn onto a steep stony path (GR®62or GTML).
(1) Follow theGR®62, cross the Bousquet farm and continue to follow it until you reach the D 993.
(2) After crossing the D 993 again under the water reservoir, continue through the Bois du Bastit.
(3) At the crossroads, turn right and walk alongside the wind turbines for about 3.5 km. Cross the small road called Les Fagettes and continue straight ahead. You are still on theGR®62(or GTML).
(4) At the D 244, cross the road and take a sharp right turn. Pass the first crossroads on the left and leave theGR®62and GTML. Continue for another 150 m and take the track on the left. Follow it straight ahead, ignoring the paths on the right and left, until you reach the hamlet of Les Escarits. Walk past the barns and take the small road that branches off to the right towards Juillac.
(5) At the crossroads, take the road on the right towards Soutouls. You will pass through a magnificent beech forest. For a brief moment, at the bottom of a bend, you will be able to see Lake Pareloup. Pass the Fraysse junction on the left, leave the Mont road on the right and, after 300 m, turn left onto a grassy track.
(6) Follow the track to a tiny building on the left at the three-way junction. Take the path that descends to the right. Follow it through the woods.
(7) Continue to the right on the small tarmac road, walk alongside the housing estate (on your right), then continue straight ahead on another path that will take you down to the village of Salles Curan. At the D993 (pastry shop), turn right onto Rue de la Confrérie. Continue straight ahead to Place de la Mairie (S/E).
