Park near the Church of Saint-Jeoire Prieuré.
(S/E) Then head south along the road.
Pass through the hamlet of Le Villard. The road descends slightly and leads to an intersection opposite the church of Chignin.
(1) Turn left towards Curienne. At the next intersections, head towards the hamlet of Viviers.
(2) In this hamlet, turn right and shortly afterwards you will come to a Y-shaped intersection.
(3) Turn left. Gradually, you will enter the vineyards.
Then head south towards Montmélian.
There are many paths through the vineyards, none of which are marked or signposted.
The idea is not to be tempted to descend towards the hamlets or tarmac roads below, but rather to try to stay on the same contour line, even if this means climbing a little higher from time to time.
Then, on the outskirts of Montmélian, find a beautiful track that winds its way along a balcony.
(4) Follow it and it will lead to a hairpin bend above the Montmélian cemetery.
(5) Continue a little further and find a sunny spot for a picnic.
(6) On the way back, take the same path you took on the way there, and when you see the large village of Torméry, head downhill to reach it (there are several fountains in the village and many more winegrowers).
Cross the village.
(7) Turn left and then immediately right. You can now head towards the Towers of Chignin, which dominate the surrounding landscape.
(8) Before that, cross Chignin, passing by the church you saw on the way there.
(1) At the crossroads, take the road leading to the Towers, passing below a statue of the Virgin Mary.
(9) Then turn right onto a small road that climbs towards the towers.
Head towards the first prismatic tower (there is an information panel) then continue towards a second tower covered in ivy.
Find the path in the vineyards that heads north. It will veer slightly east to rejoin the road you took on the way there, then descend to the village of Saint-Jeoire (S/E).
