Start from the small village of Saint-André in the commune of Les Marches, near the Musée du Vigneron. Information board and car park nearby.
(S/E) Head south towards the village of La Palud and join the D285. Follow it to the right until you reach the roundabout.
(1) Head south again towards Bellecombette on theD258B, enter the village on the left and continue to a crossroads.
(2) Head west to the right. Take a small steep road through Banchot and then Les Atrus, where you will join the D285. Follow this road until the first road on the left after No. 1038 (elevation 593).
(3) Take this wide path, which you will leave after 200 metres.
(4) Follow another path heading north-northwest, which will take you across the D285 again, first turning left then right to reach the pretty little hamlet of Les Martinons, which you will pass.
(5) On leaving Les Martinons, turn left and follow the markings that will take you to Lac de la Puce. You will reach a fork a few metres after crossing a track.
(6) Continue to the right and follow the markings to Lac de la Puce, of which only the name remains.
(7) From here, take the path that will lead you to Lac Noir, a little over a kilometre away. On the way, note the old boundary markers between the Dauphiné and Savoie regions. Walk around the lake and read the information boards.
(8) From the lake, take a north-east path that will take you under high-voltage power lines.
(9) From there, continue north-east towards the village of Lachat, which you will cross.
(10) Take the Raidillon de la Biche on the left, then continue along a path that will lead you to the D12B road.
(11) Turn right and at the next crossroads, go straight on along Chemin de Marié Branche. Pass the hamlet of Marié Bey, then take the first path on the right which climbs up to a farm. Follow it and you will come to a crossroads.
(12) Continue straight ahead on Chemin de Saint-André and follow it to the Musée du Vigneron in the village of Saint-André (S/E).
