From Château-Gombert, take Chemin de Palama. Pass two equestrian centres and park at the end of the road in thesecond car park on the left after Chemin Martin.
(S/E) Set off along Chemin de l'Étoile, heading north-west. Go through the barrier prohibiting vehicle access.
(1) Take thefirst path on the left, which joins a track (end of Chemin Martin). Keep to the right. The track then descends southwards.
(2) Turn right and pass fire hydrant no. 560. After a few bends, pass fire hydrant no. 404 on your left. The track descends and is partly concrete.
(3) Continue to the right at fire hydrant no. 403.
(4) Turn left at the hairpin bend. After a concrete section, you will arrive at a large open area with large rock faces on the left. You will arrive at a crossroads.
(5) Turn right onto the old Grottes Loubière road.
(6) Turn completely left onto the track that climbs southwards and joins the Sentier Botanique de la Batarelle.
(7) Turn right, heading north. You will arrive at fire hydrant no. 401.
(8) Turn right at the fire hydrant, then after 100 m, turn left at the T-junction. Ignore the paths on the left and right. You will see several tracks and tarmac roads.
(9) Turn right onto thefirst track, heading north-east with the Grande Étoile in your sights. The track climbs and turns to reach fire hydrant no. 402 (altitude 448). From this point, the track descends to the end of the route. Arrive at Chemin de l'Étoile, pass the barrier and return to the car park (S/E).
