Park in the car park on Place d'Hautpoul. The route is very well marked in yellow, with additional country signs. Some sections are shared with theGR®46, marked in red and white.
Yellow markings
(S/E) Take the Route de Gaillac. Turn into the first street on the right. At the fork, follow the yellow markings on the right. At the next crossroads, keep left and pass in front of the water treatment plant. The wide dirt track runs alongside the Vère. Do not cross it at the Paintball bridge. At the right-angle bend, the wide track becomes grassy and climbs up to the road. Cross and continue climbing opposite.

(1) At the T-junction, turn right onto the path that continues to climb towards the road.

(2) In front of the water container, leave theGR®46by turning right. Walk along the vineyard to descend to Comberouzal. At the road, turn left and cross the hamlet. At the next junction, in a bend, continue on the white track opposite. Pass Arpeyre and then Les Fénials. The track turns at a right angle in front of the Moulin de la Tour, which has been beautifully restored.
(3) At the road, turn right towards Vieux and cross the Vère. The road passes a small roundabout and curves to the left at the entrance to the village. At the curve, cross the street and climb up to the church square.
(4) Go around the church tower and then the cemetery. Pass in front of a restored brick well. Stay on the road until you reach Le Chapître. At the fork in front of this group of houses, continue straight ahead on the wide dirt track. At the T-junction, turn left towards Andillac.
(5) Turn right to cross the village and visit it. Continue to the street on the left and go down it. At the green wall, turn right and then go straight up to Savignats. At the bend at the entrance to the village, take the left fork. Pass by the foot of the Boursière dovecote. Ignore the tracks that leave the road.
(6) At the end of the large bend, take a sharp left turn onto the white dirt track. The track climbs and leads to a road. Turn right twice to go to Pausadou. In the hamlet, turn onto the first road on the left and stay on the road until you reach the metal cross (see photo).
(7) At the calvary, turn left onto the path towards Château du Cayla. At the road, continue straight ahead.
(8) After 50 metres, turn right onto the grassy path that descends towards Saint-Hussou. Note the Téoulet spring below, on the right in the clearing. Cross the stream. If the ford is impassable during high water, return to the road and resume the route by turning left twice.

(9) At the junction with theGR®46, turn right. On the road, turn left and then, at the next junction, turn left again uphill. At the fork, keep right towards La Combe. Pass the Peyres-Combe wine estate, stay on the road and pass a water tower on your left before reaching a fork in the road. Continue to the right and ignore the next road that branches off to the right.
(10) Turn onto the dirt track on the right. Ignore all the crossroads and keep heading south towards the Tour d'Olivier. The track ends on a gravel road in front of the property of the same name. Further on, go around the cemetery. Note the large wash house in front of it. Go down the road, cross the Vère and go back up through the narrow streets to Place d'Hautpoul, the end point of the route (S/E).
