Start from the car park at the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Ceignac. Easy parking.
(S/E) Head back towards the basilica; at the junction, turn left and go downhill. Soon, the tarmac gives way to a path. Continue downhill.
(1) Take a footbridge to cross a stream. Turn immediately right and start a fairly steep climb up a stony path. At the top of the hill, pass some buildings at a place called Les Espinars.
(2) At the junction, follow a small tarmac road to the right and head downhill. Pass through the Albespeyres farm, follow the road to the right and ignore the access to farm buildings on the left.
(3) Shortly afterwards, turn left onto a gravel path that leads downhill. Cross a stream via a small bridge and head back up the narrow path opposite.
(4) Just before the end of the climb, turn right and walk across the meadows. Further on, the path turns left and heads north-west.
(5) Just before a road, take a small path on the right under the trees. Join a road at a place called Le Plantié (cross) and follow it to the right towards the village of Ceignac. Cross the D603 and continue straight on towards the basilica (oratory on the left). After the basilica, turn left to return to the car park (S/E).
