To get to the starting point, head towards Belz (56550), where you will find free parking on Rue des Jardins.
(S/E) From the car park, walk to the banks of the River Ethel and head north on Rue des Jardins. Pass the kayak centre before arriving in the village of Saint-Cado, where you will find a restaurant. Turn right onto the Pont de Saint-Cado bridge to reach the Île de Saint-Cado.
(1) At the first house, turn right and follow the coastal path around the island. You will arrive between the Saint-Cado Chapel in Belz and the Calvary of Saint-Cado. Pass between the two to reach the riverbank and arrive at the devotional fountain known as Saint-Cado. (Feel free to go down to this fountain). Continue along the coastal path and walk around the island to return to the bridge.
(1) Cross the Saint-Cado Bridge and note the small house with blue shutters on your right, standing on an islet in the middle of the ria. After the bridge, turn right and follow the signs for "Randonnée le long de la Ria d'Étel" (Hike along the Ria d'Étel). (Please note that the path merges with theGR®34: follow the signs for "Sentier côtiers" (coastal path)and not those forthe GR®34). Pass an orientation table before returning to the Pont Er Laul road. Continue south to the Pont Er Laul fountain on the Kernio stream.
(2). Turn right at the fountain to follow the coastal path. Turn left before the house and continue south-west to Rue Pierre Lofficial, in front of the access path to Kerispern Beach.
(3) Continue to the white house and turn right onto the path that leads to the banks of the River Étel opposite the islet of Nod-Vihan. Continue south to arrive in front of Les Parcs de Navihan (oyster and shellfish sales). Continue left on Rue Navihan and walk to the signpost. Turn right onto the coastal path and continue along the riverbank to Pont Lorois.
(4) Pass under the bridge and walk along the Ria d'Etel, past the Sous L'Pont restaurant and the Port Niscop cave, and continue to the small Port Niscop. Continue right on the footpath that runs alongside and around the port, and continue on the footpath to walk along this pretty, peaceful, sheltered cove of the Ria d'Étel. Continue to the Chantier Naval Bretagne Sud shipyard.
(5) Go around the shipyard on your right until you reach the coastal path. Follow the Etel river on your right, pass the place called Ploumédic and, at the barrier, turn right to continue on the coastal path to Pointe de Royanec, where you will find an orientation table.
(6) Continue along the coastal path overlooking the Larmor Ostrea oyster beds until you reach Pointe de Roquenec.
(7) Stay on the path, which now runs alongside the Sac'h river. Continue until you reach the signpost.
(8) Leave the coastal path and theGR®34and turn left (north-west) onto a wide stony path. Continue until you reach the junction with Rue du Bois.
(9) Turn left to head north-west on Rue du Bois and, after turning right, continue to the signpost located at a fork.
(10) Turn right, following the signs for Ploumedic, then, at the next fork, turn right again onto Route de Larmor. Continue to the signpost at the junction with Rue Norquer in the hamlet of Kericune.
(11) Stay on the Larmor road, heading north-east, and continue along the tarmac road until you reach house number 51.
(12) Leave the Lamor road and turn right, then left at the signpost. Follow the signs for the Kerdruellan Alignments. Continue to the junction with the D781. Before reaching the main road, you can look for the Kerdruellan Alignments on the left and, on the right, at road level, the Sainte-Anne Fountain, below the road. (Please note that there are no signs and both sites are hidden by vegetation!)
(13) Cross the D781 carefully and continue straight ahead on the path that starts at the cross. Keep heading north-east, ignoring thePR® coming from the left, and continue to the Kerlutu Dolmen.
(14) Turn left (north) after the dolmen site to quickly reach a roundabout on the D9. Cross this road carefully and continue straight ahead towards Saint-Cado on Rue de Kerentrech. Stay on this road until you reach the signpost.
(15) Turn right towards the Moulin des Oies dolmen. Continue until you reach the junction with Rue du Moulin des Oies. Cross this street and continue along the coastal path to quickly reach the Moulin des Oies dolmen.
(16) Stay on the coastal path to reach Saint-Cado and the car park (S/E).
