Description of the walk

The starting point of the circular route is at the Anse du Magouer car park. This car park is accessible to all types of vehicles. In the car park, find the starting point of the walk with the QR code to access the interactive map. The white sand martin will then indicate the direction to take.

(S/E) From the car park, turn left and cross Chemin des Dunes to take the path opposite. Then continue straight ahead at each crossroads until you reach a car park.

(1) Go around the car park on the left and, at the corner at the far right, take the path on the left. Keep left again at the next fork, then continue straight ahead until you reach the grey dune (or fixed dune), which you will need to cross for several hundred metres. Look for sea grapes (a characteristic, inedible plant).

(2) Continue keeping to the right, then stay to the left at the stream to reach the beach.

(3) Turn completely right. Then walk along the beach to the military ruins.

(4) Keep to the far right and continue straight ahead until you reach the old gatehouse, which offers a beautiful view.

(5) Continue straight ahead. At the track, go straight ahead twice and you will arrive at the market gardens, where Lorient cabbage is grown.

(6) Stay on the road and continue to Kerprat.

(7) Turn left, then right. Pass a fork in the road, then keep right and continue straight ahead until you reach the Saint-Cornély Chapel.

(8) Go around the chapel on the left and follow the road to the right. Then keep right again on a track until you reach the fork with the Saint-Cornély Fountain. This is the route taken by the procession every second Sunday in September.

(9) At the crossroads, keep left, then left again until you reach the road.

(10) Turn right towards the cross and the water tower. Turn right, then immediately left to approach Kerbascuin. Take the first right to reach the wash house.

(11) Turn around to return to the crossroads and keep right towards Nestellic. Continue left and, at the end, go almost opposite towards Motenno.

(12) Stay on the first path on the left. At the crossroads, turn left, then head towards Magouër by following Rue des Oellets to the end.

(13) Turn right at a right angle. Cross Rue du Passage d'Étel, taking a first turn left then right to take a path to the coastal trail. Follow the path to the right until the end. Continue along Rue du Mané Lann, then keep left on the alleyway of the same name to take a path that rejoins the coast and leads to a car park. Walk along the car park to pass in front of the old Magouer cannery. The building is still visible despite a slight visual transformation and the absence of the old chimney.

(14) Continue along the coast to the car park (S/E).

Hello,
A very beautiful hike. Varied landscapes: dunes, sea, market gardens, villages... The path is well marked overall. However, some of the markers are not clearly visible at intersections, so we missed a few turns. In addition, some of the markers are fading. It's a shame...
A trail to do again and again.
