Description of the walk

Parking is available along the D902, at the corner of the Pont de la Tassonnière bridge, which leads to Seytroux.

(S/E) Cross the bridge over the Dranse and head towards Seytroux. A few metres after the bridge, turn right onto the path overlooking the Dranse.

(1) Cross two roads in succession. Return to the first road you crossed and follow it to the left. At the intersection shortly after, keep right and cross the hamlet of Les Girauds.

(2) At a fork, take a small road on the right and cross the hamlet of Ombre via Chemin des Rosset.

(3) At the stop sign, continue straight ahead on a path and pass a pond on your right. At the T-junction, turn left onto Route de Gerbaz. Take the path between the houses to reach Le Sey.

(4) When the road turns sharply left towards a private property, turn right onto a path towards Urine. Climb up to a road in the hamlet of Le Sey.

(5) Follow the road to the right and ignore a path on the left immediately after. At the end of the hamlet, continue along a path that becomes a forest track.

(6) At a fork at the foot of an antenna, turn left towards the hamlet of Urine. The path climbs slightly before descending gently (or even flattening out). We then gradually leave the forest as we approach the hamlet of Urine.

(7) You will come out onto a small road. Follow it to the right and downhill. After a hairpin bend to the left, leave the road and take a path on the right. You will arrive at the Chez les Geydets oratory.

(8) Leave a small road on the left and continue downhill along the path. Cross the hamlet of Couvaloup, ignore a turn-off on the left and descend to the bridge over the Dranse.

(9) Cross the bridge, then cross the D902 with great caution and without lingering (thisis a very busy road where traffic generally travels at high speed). Take the path opposite towards Le Biot. Climb up and enter the village via Chemin de la Coudre. Pass the town hall on your right and continue for about 40 metres.

(10) Turn right and cross the village. Cross a stream, ignore the first street on the left and take the second street, at the level of the houses.

(11) At the intersection that immediately follows, turn right and cross the hamlet of Les Cottets. At the end of the tarmac road, continue along a path towards Bas-Thex and climb uphill.

(12) At a fork at the foot of an antenna, turn right and descend. After a hairpin bend to the right and one to the left, pass the Saint-Guérin oratory. Return to the tarmac road and cross the hamlet of Bas Thex (chapel).

(13) Shortly before the end of the hamlet, turn right and descend.

(14) Cross the D902 again with the same caution as before. Then make a first turn left then right to return to the Pont de la Tassonnière (S/E).
