Le Grand-Bois in Vielsalm via the arboretums

In the Grand-Bois forest in Vielsalm, starting from the Bêchefa clearing, the walk takes you through the Jardin sauvage and three arboretums.
The two most recent are around thirty years old; the third, over a century old, is home to trees of impressive size.

This walk largely follows a route marked in red by the forestry services. However, the marked route does not pass through the "Jardin sauvage".

Notes

The path through the Wild Garden is difficult and unsuitable for pushchairs. It is easy to avoid.
A simple 1.4 km circular path can be walked in the old arboretum.

Worth a visit

The walk passes close to the Flamands Farm, situated along Dewulf Road, which is named after the builders of this farm in the mid-19th century. Dewulf Road is reserved solely for forestry operations.
