To return to the starting point: head to Saint-Martin d’Arrossa via the D918, then follow signs for Saint-Étienne-de-Baïgorry via the D948 and finally to Irouléguy via the D15. Park in the church car park.
There are also spaces in the car park behind the fronton.
(S/E) Return from the church towards the village’s central crossroads and head south
(1) Cross the D15 with extreme caution: there is a bend and no pedestrian crossing. Take the path opposite, lined with hedges, and immediately ignore the one on the left as well as a field entrance on the right. The path climbs through the trees to a small road at a place called Menta.
(2) Take the road to the left, then immediately to the right. At the first junction, carry on straight ahead, heading west. After a right-angle bend, the road runs alongside the Ruisseau de Guermiette before veering away from it to reach the centre of Guermiette.
(3) Turn right onto the road which leads to a farm track suitable for vehicles, crossing the stream.
(4) Go straight on, then turn immediately right to pass in front of the sheepfold.
Take the narrow path between the two vineyards, which is closed off by a gate (please close it behind you), and walk alongside the vines until you reach a ladder allowing you to climb over the fence.
(5) Walk up alongside the vineyard, keeping a woodland on your left, until you reach a built-up area. Turn right to rejoin a road. Turn right. You will find an orientation board on the right-hand side of the road.
(2) Turn left and follow the path in the opposite direction to the outward journey to return to the starting point (S/E).
