Head towards Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port on the D918. At a circular section of the Nive, take the D303 towards Ascarat. In the village, turn left towards the church and park at the fronton.
(S/E) Leave along the fronton via the D303 until you reach the village exit. Continue straight ahead, ignoring the D303 which turns right, and continue to the next junction.
(1) Turn right towards the north-west. The road crosses the Errekaldea district and arrives at a three-way junction.
(2) Take the middle road north along the farm towards an orientation table. The road winds upwards, first through the forest, then along the left-hand side of the forest, bordering vineyards. It becomes a track suitable for vehicles.
(3) Take the path on the right to go around a vineyard and join a road.
Walk north-west along the plot opposite to find a gap in the barbed wire fence; the bottom row is broken, allowing you to enter.
Cross the plot and you will arrive at the dolmen located a few dozen metres into the plot.
(4) Turn back to the corner of the vineyard.
(3) Take the path opposite, heading south-west, ignoring the track you took on the way there. You will reach the edge of the woods.
(5) At the edge of the woods, turn east to return to the three-way junction you passed on the way there.
(2) Return along the same path you took on the way there to get back to the car park (S/E).
The route in reverse is therefore much more interesting.
