Start: Bergerie du Bois Noir car park.
(S/E) From the car park, follow the torrent upstream and cross it on a wide bridge which continues along a dirt and gravel track. Follow this track for about 1200m, until you reach the Étable des Génisses.
(1) Take the path between the stable and the house, which runs due South towards the larch trees. It joins the Torrent de Clausis.
(2) The path then begins to climb steeply, winding along the torrent gorge. A little later, you'll reach some alpine pastures, and after crossing the torrent easily, you'll come to Lac de Clausis. Pass by it on the right bank and join the path heading south towards the pass.
(3) After an almost flat, grassy section, you reach the scree slopes at the bottom of the valley, where the gradient is a little steeper. A few minutes before arriving at the pass, the slope is harder and finishes with a few hairpin bends.
At the Col de Clausis, turn right and head for the rocky outcrop to the west, which is easily accessible and offers magnificent views.
(4) From the Col de Clausis, take the same path back down to the car park (S/E).
