There is a charge for parking during the day.

The route crosses the superb Boscodon State Forest, continues through the Cirque de Morgon with its small lake, and ends with a descent in wide hairpin bends through the forest on the edge of the Cirque de Bragousse.
Along the way, several viewpoints offer splendid views of the Lac de Serre-Ponçon, the Pic de Morgon and the Cirque de Bragousse.

There are several routes leading to the Cirque de Morgon. The ones I’ve taken so far are the paths starting from the Fontaine de l’Ours and the Grand Clos. This one is the steepest and most challenging. However, it offers a huge advantage when it’s hot: it’s completely shaded by the trees. On the other hand, the ground is uneven and slippery, and there’s a ladder which might put off those who are afraid of heights.
