Start: from the Kausoro car park after kilometre 12 of the GI3631 towards Artikutza (for directions by car, see the description in the "Practical Information" section below).
(S/E) Heading towards the far end of the car park, i.e. with your back to the road, you go left, uphill across the field, towards the nearest, clearly visible summit (so don't follow the wide path, which should always be on the right).
This brings you to the first summit, Kausutxiki (638 m). Follow the Red and White markings.
(1) Continue along the ridgeline to Munagirre (781 m), first passing a sculpture of a drum, then arriving at the geodesic point (represented by a cylinder on a large circular base).
Continue almost straight ahead along the ridgeline, then descend to the GI3631 asphalt road.
(2) Turn left for about 250 m, up to the first bend. At this point, descend along the path on the right.
We join PR®-GI 1007 (Artikutzako trenbide zaharra) at the remains of ruined buildings (on the old Artikutza train track).
(3) Follow this PR®-GI 1007 to the left (there are a few Yellow and White markings). There's a steep descent to cross a stream, but after that, the path becomes very wide and unproblematic.
(4) At elevation 540 m, leave the track and take a small path on the right.
(5) After a while, you'll pass a tunnel which you shouldn't take as it's impassable and muddy.
We arrive at the Col de Urmandi, easily recognizable as the intersection of several paths.
(6) We take the wide left-hand path, which we leave almost immediately to take the right-hand path, which is still the PR®-GI 1007.
We arrive at the junction with PR®-GI 1006 (Aiako Arria bihotza).
(7) Turn left onto this new path, which climbs steeply!
We then cross the Basate cromlechs and, on the way down, the superb Oianleku cromlech (a very large magic circle). We then head for the hut (very visible).
(8) Just after the hut, take the right-hand path back to the Kausoro car park (S/E).
