Description of the walk

The walk starts at the car park by the large oak tree in Seillon Forest.

(S/E) Once you have parked, turn to face the road (D23), take the path on your left and follow it towards the road.

(1) Cross the road carefully to reach the short stretch of tarmac leading to the bridge over the railway line. Cross this bridge, then turn right and follow the stony path that runs alongside the railway line. Do not take the^first path on your left, but the^{second one} (sand and gravel storage area for the paths).

(2) Take this path (the CRAPA route) and follow it for a good distance, ignoring the other paths that run alongside it. You will come to a wide, stony forest track (Route Forestière des Chasseurs).

(3) Turn left, then from this point onwards keep going straight on, crossing any paths and roads you come across until you reach the exit of the Seillon Forest.

(4) Leave the Seillon Forest and take the path on your right to pass under the D1075, then carry on straight ahead, passing in front of the Équinox in Bourg-en-Bresse, and follow the Chemin de la Garde.

(5) At the Domaine de la Garde, take the tarmac path on your left (Chemin de la Petite Aventure towards Bouvent). Follow the signs for the Bouvent Leisure Centre.

(6) As you approach the gravel track, take the tarmac road towards the Bouvent Leisure Centre. Carry on straight ahead until you reach the roundabout.

(7) At the roundabout, you can turn right to enter the Bouvent Leisure Centre and walk around the lake (2.5 km), or turn round to return to the starting point by the large oak tree (S/E).
