Côt Route

Start at the boules court.

(S/E) Cross the road towards the church in the village centre. At the junction, cross the road and continue straight on. Pass the church on your right then turn left. At the end of the street, turn right then immediately left. At the next junction, turn right and enter Le Foucaudat.

(1) Then turn left and, at the next junction, right. At the crossroads after the last houses, follow a limestone path to the left. At the three-way junction, follow the path to the left for about a hundred metres.

(2) Then take the first limestone path on your right and ignore a path on the right. At the next junction, turn right.

(3) At the next junction, turn right and follow the path for about 1 km, ignoring the turnings to the right and then to the left.

(4) At the junction, turn left towards the houses. Turn left at the end of the road, cross the D44 and take the Chemin de Maison Neuve opposite you.

(5) At the junction (cross), continue straight ahead. After about a hundred metres, leave the limestone path (which turns right) and continue along the dirt track. When you reach a row of trees, you’ll come to another limestone path; continue in the same direction (north-east). Cross a road and take the path opposite.

(6) At the junction, turn right onto the limestone path. At the T-junction, turn left then immediately right onto a dirt track. At the end, follow the D736 for a few metres.

(7) Cross the D736 and take the limestone track opposite. Continue straight on, ignoring the side paths, for about 1 km, heading south then south-south-west towards the end.

(8) Turn left towards a copse. Walk alongside the copse and turn left at the junction. After veering right at a Fork in the road, stay on the path furthest to the right to go round the small copse on the right. Then turn right, heading south and ignoring a path branching off to the left.

(9) At the three-way junction, turn sharply left. At the next junction, turn sharply right towards a small wood. Stay on the main track (south-east), cross a perpendicular path and then ignore a path on the left.

(10) At the crossroads, continue straight on (south-east) and ignore all the side paths. Cross the D49 and take the limestone track opposite.

(11) Take the first dirt track on your right towards the houses. Pass Château de Font Pinot on your left and, at the T-junction as you emerge from the trees, turn right.

(12) Cross the D49 again and take the path running alongside the woodland on your right. Veer right then left with the path and enter another woodland. At the end of the path, first turn left then right to follow the main road.

(13) At the Fork in the road a few metres further on, turn left. Pass through the hamlets of Les Rulliers and then La Barre. Continue along a path and cross a woodland, keeping a westerly direction. At the T-junction, turn left.

(14) Turn right onto a small road and follow the woods on your left.

(15) Just after a left-hand bend, turn right onto a dirt track through the vineyards. Turn left at the house and immediately turn right onto the track running parallel to the D419. Go round the houses on the right, staying on the dirt track.

(16) Cross the road and take the track through the vineyards. At a Fork in the road, go left and cross a small wood. Continue north-west through the vineyards. At the end of the track, follow the road to the left. Cross the D736 to reach the boules court (S/E).
