Description of the walk

(S/E) From the car park, cross the L151 and walk along the road opposite for 250m.

(1) Take the third path on the left, marked with a Yellow Diamond or ‘7 Moore Weg’ (the Moorland Path).
You’ll pass peat bogs 1 and 2, staying on the path towards Schwartze Säge.

(2) When you reach the road at the old carpenter’s workshop, turn left. Follow the road, pass bog no. 3 and then, after the bridge, bog no. 4.

(3) A small path on the right allows you to cross peat bog no. 5. At the other end, follow the road for 500m to the car park.

Starting point:
Coming from the motorway, at Lörrach, take exit 5 towards Schopfheim on the B317. On the Schopfheim bypass, turn left towards Wehr on the B518, then follow signs for Todtmoos on the L148.
When you reach Todtmoos, you’ll see a large clinic on the hillside; 150 metres further on, turn right towards Herrischried on the L151 and drive uphill for 7 km until you reach a junction where there is an information sign on your right. The car park is next to it.
