The hike starts at the car park of Montgaillard church. Very well markedPR®6route.
(S/E) Cross the village via the D15 towards Marsac, then take the D25, which you will join at a place called Les Bourdettes.
(1) At the first three-way junction, leave the D25 and continue straight ahead on a small road towards Balignac for 800m, ignoring the roads on the left and right.
(2) Turn right onto a path and continue left along the road towards the Balatière farm.
Go around the farm at the bottom and cross a small wood.
(3) Pass under the threshold of Lac de la Chêneraie. Then take the road on the left towards Sainte-Blanche.
(4) Turn right and join the D15 after 600m, passing through Bourgeat. At the junction, follow this road to the left.
(5) 400 metres further on, take the path down to the right, continuing to followPR®6and passing Grande Couille. Continue downhill towards Ruisseau de l'Ayroux.
Cross the stream and climb towards the D111.
(6) Follow this road to the right to pass near the Floris farm. Continue for 800 metres.
(7) Turn right onto a gravel path towards Lac de Teulière.
(8) When you reach the lake, turn left at the car park, walk along the bank on a well-marked path, then cross a footbridge at the very end of the lake.
(9) Then head up to the right towards Montgaillard, followingPR®6. After a fairly steep hill, turn left onto a tarmac road and then, 200 metres further on, turn right between two houses onto a wide path. Stay on this path until you reach Place de l'Église. (S/E).
