(S) From Sommecaise church, take the small road that leads to La Vieille Ferté via the charming hamlet of Chanteraine.
(1) At the crossroads after the hamlet, turn left towards Rue Neuve, where "Father Loup" used to live. You will then be on the famousGR®13 trail, which runs alongside the Culotte pond on your left (2). Continue straight ahead at the next crossroads until you reach a fork in the road.
(3) Turn left onto the path that leads to Péruseau, a small stream that flows into the Ouanne at Charny. Go up the CD57 on the left for about 200 metres and turn right towards the hamlet of Les Coiffards. Cross the hamlet and, at the end of the road, take the path on the left, which runs alongside the woods and offers a beautiful view of the hamlet of L'Ermite and Perreux.
(4) Once you reach the tarmac road, turn left. This path leads to another hamlet in Perreux, Les Pantouches.
(5) Then take the path on the left, which passes in front of the farm and, a little further on, enters the woods, with the hamlet of La Brionnerie and its pond on your left and the Bergeries pond on your right (6).
Here you will see a blacksmith's shop. There were many charcoal burners in the area, and the industry flourished until the end of the 19th century. When you leave the woods, you will find yourself in the hamlet of Les Fourchons.
(7) Take the small road on your right, which passes through the hamlet of Les Bergeries and finally Les Bouviers.
(8) At the end of this hamlet, take the path on your left and cross the CD57 again. A little further on, you will cross the woods with the Diablière pond on your right::9:.
When you leave the woods, take the first path on your right, which will take you back to Chanteraine, then turn right to return to the church and the starting point.
