Via the Bois des Chèvres and the Bois de la Croix

The route starts at the Étang de la Grue, just south-east of Chevillon near La Loutière.
To get there: just after passing the church at Chevillon, on the left-hand side whilst driving along the D16 towards Joigny, take the^first road on the right; a little further on, ignore the next road on the right and carry on until you reach a Fork in the road. Then take the road on the right until you come to the road on the left. Take that road and, 500 metres further on, take the^first path on the left and you’ve arrived. Park right at the entrance to the path by the Étang de la Grue.

(S/E) Walk along the right-hand side of the Étang de la Grue until you reach the next junction (marker 186). Turn left until you reach the road.

(1) Cross carefully and keep to the right, staying well to the left of the road, until you reach elevation 194.
Leave the road and turn left onto the wide path. After the water tower, turn left, walking alongside the Bois des Chèvres on your right. As you come out of the woods, continue until you reach the first path on the right.

(2) Take the path on the right until you reach the road.

(3) Turn right onto the road and follow it to La Gougeatière, at the end of the road. After passing La Gougeatière house on your left, take the path on the right (not shown on the IGN map) and continue downhill until you reach a cross-path. Turn left, ignore the next path on the left and carry on straight ahead for about 50 metres.

(4) Ignore the path on the left and the one going uphill opposite. Turn right onto the path that climbs up to the first houses in La Blancherie.

(5) When you reach the green wooden gate on the left, ignore the path on the right that leads downhill and take the path on the left until you reach the road. Continue straight ahead until you reach the entrance to the woods.

(6) Continue along the road and, further on, pass through the hamlet of La Gaulerie until you reach the next path on the right.

(7) Turn right onto the path that leads downhill, heading further into the woodland until you reach the next path on the right.
Carry on straight ahead until you reach the next path on the right. Turn right onto the path and follow it to the Fork in the road.

(9) Take the sharp left-hand bend; a little further on, follow the edge of the woodland on your right until you reach the cross-path. Turn right, passing through the Bois de la Croix, until you reach the road. Cross the road and head right for 50 metres, keeping to the left.

(10) Take the path on the left until you reach the junction. Go straight on and return to the starting point (S/E).
