Description of the walk

Start from the village hall in Azay-sur-Thouet.

(S/E) Head towards the village centre to join the D949bis, passing in front of the town hall. Cross the D949bis at the roundabout and take Rue du Chemin l’Âne opposite. Walk up to the end of the street, then continue along Rue des Noues to leave the village. Carry on uphill to the junction with La Tritière.

(1) Turn right, then, a few dozen metres further on, turn left.

(2) At the next junction, turn left. Carry on straight ahead and pass through the hamlet of Maison Neuve.

(3) At the next junction, take the dirt track straight ahead. Turn left as the track bends and ignore a few side paths on the right.
