Langrolay-sur-Rance route starting from the Souhaitier Chapel

(S/E) Head north-east and follow the path that goes around the hill along the banks of the Rance.

(1) At the bridge on the right, cross the Ruisseau de la Ville és Rats and continue on the right to reach Plage du Roue. It is dominated by two old mills on top of Langrolay hill. Continue north on the path to reach Pointe du Châtelet, then Pointe de Trégondé. The path continues along the shore to the junction with the D114.

(2) Continue along the coastal path, pass Pointe du Châtel and continue to Pointe de Trégondé

(3) Keep to the right and continue along the path.

(4) Cross the Ruisseau de la Houssaye and join the road opposite, then turn immediately left onto Rue des Adriais. Continue for about 150 metres and take the marked path on the right, which turns left, to the hamlet of La Rabinais.

(5) Take Rue des Vallées, turn left at the end of the street and take the grassy path on the right for about 120 metres, which leads to Rue des Vignes. Turn left and you will arrive at Rue des Rabinais.

(6) Take the path slightly to the right that runs alongside the house. Follow the path that crosses the D114, turn right onto Rue des Champs and follow it to the end, then turn right onto Rue Sainte Anne. At the end of the street is the Chapel of Saint-Buc (Sainte-Anne). Retrace your steps to take the path on the right. Cross the bridge over the Ruisseau de la Houssaye stream.

(7) After the bridge, take the path on the right that runs alongside a wall. After about 300 metres, keep right at the fork. Continue along the path that runs alongside the stream on the right. The path turns^90° to arrive at a place called La Bouraudière.

(8) Cross it and follow the lane, which turns left. Leave the lane and continue straight ahead on the path opposite, which leads to Route de Dinard.

(9) Turn right and follow the road for 100 metres, then take the dirt track where the road turns left. The track continues through the undergrowth for 500 metres and rejoins Route de la Bourgadière.

(10) Turn left, continue straight ahead on the road and pass the calvary. Cross the D12 with caution and arrive at the town hall.

(11) Turn right onto Allée de la Rigourdaine. Go down the lane to reach the bridge over the Ruisseau de La Ville Ès Rats that you crossed on the way there and cross it.

(1) At the end of the bridge, take the path on the right and climb to the top of the hill.

(12) At the end of the path, cross the road and continue straight ahead on a path. It descends into the valley and joins Rue La Fresnelais. Continue downhill. The street becomes a grassy path that turns left fairly quickly. Follow it to Rue La Vallée. At the end of the street, turn right and head towards the Chapelle du Souhaitier on the right (S/E).

Depending on the season, the paths can be muddy and wet. I recommend using hiking or Nordic walking poles.

The Souhaitier Chapel and its cave.

The Chapel of St-Buc or Sainte-Anne: a listed historical monument dating from the 17th century, the Chapel of Sainte-Anne, known as "Saint-Buc", is located on the edge of the D 114 (coastal road from Dinan to Dinard), between Langrolay and Le Minihic-Sur-Rance, at a place called Saint-Buc. The chapel is open during Easter weekend, when the summer programme is presented, and during Heritage Days in September.
