Starting from the church square in Anthien, the hike is marked in yellow and blue.
(S/E) From the church, take Rue Moreau. About 500 metres later, the road gives way to a gravel path at a place called Rue Moreau.
(1) Follow this path straight ahead until you reach the D217.
(2) Cross the D217 and take the path opposite, following it straight ahead until you reach the road (Rue de Compostelle).
(3) Turn right and follow the street until you reach a crossroads. Turn left and take the D42 to the crossroads after the Ferme du Mont Bué.
(4) Take the path on the left and join a new road: Rue de Monveille.
(5) Follow the road to the right. At the next junction, continue for another hundred metres, then take the path on the left and climb Mont Sabot. You will come to a road; follow it to the left to reach the summit (chapel).
(6) Leave Mont Sabot by taking the very small path opposite the chapel and next to the road. At the bottom of the hill, turn left onto the path. Then take the first path on the right and continue straight on at the foot of Mont Brion. You will come to another crossroads.
(7) Turn 90° left to take the path that runs alongside the Source Saint-Martin before reaching the hamlet of Chitry.
(8) Turn left and take the first road on the right towards Fletz.
(9) In Fletz, turn left at the junction. After 200 metres, the road gives way to a path. Follow it straight ahead until you reach the road at Croix de Mont Vieille.
(10) Turn right and stay on the road. 200 metres after the wash house, take the small path on the left. You will arrive at the square in Vignes le Haut.
(11) Cross Rue de Compostelle and continue straight on Route Neuve, continuing to the village of Vignes le Bas.
(12) Turn right onto the D217 and cross the village of Vignes le Bas.
(13) Take the first road on the left between the houses. After 2 km, a steep climb leads to the hamlet of Le Chemin. Continue straight ahead and turn left at the first road to reach a cross.
(14) Take the path to the left of the cross and stay on it until you reach the D6. Continue straight ahead on the road to return to Anthien and the starting car park (S/E).
We will only use part of this route, as it is too long for our members.
