Route starting from Aulnay

Park in the car park at Aulnay Church.

(S/E) Head towards the centre of the village via Avenue de l’Église, followed by Rue des Carmes.

(1) At the junction, carry straight on along Rue Cour des Sirènes, then continue along Rue de Salles as far as the dovecote.

(2) Take Rue de la Cour à Madame, then turn left onto Rue de l’Abreuvoir. Turn left to cross a grassy area, then continue left along Rue du Vivier and, ignoring the ‘No Through Road’ sign, keep left onto the path running parallel to La Brédoire; this is the^GRP® de la Sylve d’Argenton, marked in red and yellow.

(3) Turn left onto a small tarmac road. At the first Fork in the road, turn right and, at the next junction, keep left to stay alongside La Brédoire. You will arrive at Saint Mandé-sur-Brédoire.

(4) Turn left onto the Route de Contré, then follow the Rue de l’Église straight ahead and finally the Rue Traversière. Then head down to the right along the Rue de la Petite Place. Turn left onto the D 129. Follow it past the town hall, where you’ll come to a Y-junction.

(5) Turn right onto a track. At^{the second} hairpin bend, leave the^GRP® and continue straight on until you reach the D 222, then turn right onto this road. Pass a huge mound containing a water reservoir.

(6) Turn left onto the Chemin des Sauniers and follow it. When you reach the tarmac section, turn left onto a road that joins the Chemin de la Croix Carrée.

(7) Turn left onto this road and, after Rue des Hauts de la Brédoire, turn right onto a small path leading to Rue Montgrande. Turn left to reach Rue Porte de Matha. Turn right and then immediately turn left.

(8) Walk past the keep of the old Château d’Aulnay, then past the town hall, and turn left at the corner of the square. Walk down to Rue de l’Ancienne Bascule. Turn right and continue onto Rue du Lavoir.

(9) At the end of this street, turn right onto Rue Porte Saint-Jean, then left onto Rue du Temple. Continue right onto Rue des Hivers, then left onto Rue Gate Œil.

(10) Cross the Brédoire and continue along Rue Gate Œil. At the end of this street, turn left onto Rue de Bourgogne and continue along Rue Basse de l’Église to reach the church. Cross the old cemetery to reach the church car park (S/E).
