(S/E) Starting from the Place du Champ de Foire in Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne, head towards the Place de la Halle and then join the garden on the banks of the Chalaronne, and follow the river upstream to a small bridge located after the leisure park.
(1) Cross the valley and follow the yellow markings where they exist.
(2) Turn right and head up towards Buenans.
(3) After Buenans, cross the Sandrans road (Rd82) and head towards the Grande Beyvière horse farm. Take the small road on the right in front of the farm.
(4) Take a narrow path that descends towards Le Relevant stream.
(5) After the stream, take the road on the left for 300 metres.
(6) Turn right towards the campsite.
(7) At Chante-Poulet, continue straight ahead for 300 metres.
(8) Turn left. The hike is then signposted to Relevant, but you need to pay attention.
(9) At Relevant, return via the Route de Chatillon (D82).
(10) 600 m after Les Rodets, turn left towards Chante-Poulet.
(7) At Chante-Poulet, return to La Grande Beyvière by retracing your steps and arriving at the top of the steep slope.
(4) Turn left towards Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne.
(11) Pass by the Château Fort and then descend into the town via Impasse des Remparts and Rue Owen Denis Johnson, taking the time to stroll around and visit the little streets.
Go around Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne by going down along the Chalaronne (Impasse des Jardins).
(12) Head north along the ring road (Rd936). Cross the Chalaronne. Go through the roundabout and a little further on you will find a path curving to the right, which will take you back to the vocational school, the town centre and the Place du Champ de Foire (S/E).
