In Entremont-le-Vieux (called Épernay on IGN maps), park at the bottom of the village in the Oursons car park, outside the campsite.
(S/E) Drive back up into the village towards the D912 and, before reaching it, turn right.
(1) Go down the street and then the path towards a meadow in front of the water treatment plant.
(2) Turn right onto the small path that runs alongside a small stream on your right (red and yellowGRP® Tour de Chartreuse markings). Do not take the path parallel to it on the other side of the stream. Reach the edge of the Cozon and follow the path down the stream, passing below the water treatment plant. Continue, cross the stream on a footbridge and continue downhill along the stream to reach a road near the Dèrbetemps bridge.
(3) Simply cross the road (leaving theGRP® here) and take the path marked in yellow. Descend following the canyon of the stream, take another footbridge (waterfall) and continue on the other bank to reach the D912.
Follow the road downhill and cross it before the bridge to join the path opposite. Climb up to a small road that leads to the hamlet of Teppaz.
(4) Turn right and head towards the centre of the hamlet, 150 m away.
(5) At the crossroads in the hamlet, descend following the yellow trail markers on the right (cross) towards Pont du Lac. The descent is steep in places, so caution is advised in wet weather. Reach the intersection with the Chemin des Mules coming from Saint-Pierre d'Entremont and follow the yellow and redGRP® Tour de Charteuse signs.
(6) Continue downhill to the right towards Épernay and Pont du La, then join the D912 road and follow it uphill to the right for about 100 metres.
(7) Turn left towards the hamlet of Les Courriers. At the next fork, turn right and cross the hamlet, staying on theGRP®, and begin a steep climb into the forest.
The forest is criss-crossed by numerous paths that are not marked on IGN maps, particularly near a dilapidated building, where the markings are either missing or not visible.
(8) Pass to the left of the house and continue climbing. At the end of the climb, the trail emerges at the edge of a pasture with a well-maintained chalet.
Go down the track and arrive at the Derbétemps bridge, where you will rejoin the outward route.
(3) Follow the stream on the left to return to the village via the same route you took on the way there (S/E).
