From Porto, take the D81 towards Calvi. Do not take the road towards Osani, turn right, continue towards Galéria and park in the Bocca a Croce car park
(S/E) Take the path (signposted Chemin du Facteur), pass in front of the house and continue along the Mare e Monti (orange markings), also known by the abbreviation MAM. You will reach Cala di Tuara beach.
(1) Take the path on the right in the middle of the beach that climbs up into the mountains (you are still on the MAM). Leave a path on your right and continue. Start descending towards Girolata to see the Gulf of Girolata with its beach and the fort protecting it. Reach the beach.
(2) Climb back up opposite, take the narrow streets (orange markings). Follow them for a few hundred metres. After climbing up behind Girolata, you will reach a flat path. Take the unmarked path (descent into the scree) which leads to Cavone Beach.
(3) To return, go back to Girolata and the crossroads at Girolata Beach.
(2) Turn right onto the postman's path. Follow it around the coast until you reach Cala di Tuara Beach.
(1) Cross the beach and take the MAM to return to the car park (S/E).

As mentioned in recent comments, you can now access Cavone beach via a good path that starts from the threshing floor. It winds along a balcony (superb view) before descending via a well-maintained zigzag ramp. A few dozen metres before reaching the beach, you can see (and smell!) the scattered skeleton of a cow, a reminder that caution is required even for the most agile...
