Description of the walk

Start: Car park at the stopover lodge.
Yellow markings (in part) and MTB 11-12

(1) From the car park, head towards the church, continue straight along the road and pass the junction where signs for Quimper point to the right and straight ahead. Continue downhill then turn left towards Kervaziou. After a wash house situated below on the left, turn left and follow the road towards Kéraudren Nevez.

(2) When you reach a house, take the path that goes round the back and follow it. It joins a road at Kéraudren Coz. Turn right then left at the sign for Vergers du Menez. Continue straight on along the sunken lane that runs alongside the orchards.

(3) At the road, near a reservoir, turn left and follow this small road towards Reunachat, then turn right towards Kerhascoët (leaving Kerguen on your left).

(4) Look for a small path on the left that descends towards the Moulin de Quistinic road. Turn left, pass the mill (below on the right) and join the Landudal–Briec road at Kroaz-an-Turk. Head up the hill opposite towards Trolez.

(5) The chapel is visible on the right (a return trip via a dirt track: ideal for a break). Take the road that climbs to the left towards Trolez. Pass the large livestock farms, continue towards Kernongal and reach the bridge where you can see the ruins of an old mill. Climb towards Pennanéac’h.

(6) Shortly afterwards, turn left onto the signposted path (Saint Tugdual route). Leave it immediately to follow, on the right, the MTB 11-12 signposting which descends and joins a road.

(7) Turn left and follow the road down to the first signpost (Guerlez on the map, but note that the sign at this point reads Kermarc Nevez), turn right, walk along the back of the buildings on the left, cross the stream and follow the VTT sign on the right. Follow these markings as they cross the edge of a wood, run alongside a wide stream, cross a meadow and the corner of a cultivated field to reach Kervouziern Nevez.

(8) Follow this small road then turn right at the mountain bike sign: the path crosses a cultivated field again and leads to some houses (Pont ar Helec). At the first junction, leave the mountain bike route which heads off to the right and follow the small sunken road that climbs to the left. At the junction with a larger road, continue straight on. At the entrance to Landudal, turn left (signposted C2 Quimper) then right to take the grassy path leading to the church, which takes you back to the starting car park.

A nice route (completed in 4h10), partly shaded and with streams.
Passing through the meadow from point 7 was not possible as the field was ploughed. Climbing a little higher to the wood and taking the path (just before Kerveguen) enabled us to get round this.

A lovely walk that also passes right by our lodge. No need to drive to the starting point – a really nice option.
The chapel is very beautiful.
Some sections are overgrown, particularly with holly 😟

Hello,

A note:
at number 1, from the car park, head towards the church, continue straight along the road and (after the roundabout) at this point, there is no longer a roundabout to turn left. The route is quite hilly.
Discover the Trolez Chapel, open in summer 2020 on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2 pm to 6 pm.

A lovely walk, but at signpost number 6 (follow this small road and turn right instead of left as indicated). Apart from that, it was great. The chapel at Trolez is well worth a visit.
