Buis-les-Baronnies walks

The Baume Noire massif, the Linceuil and Taillade mountains, the Ventoux and the Baronnies will be your landmarks throughout your walk. You will cross no fewer than six passes to return to Beauvoisin. The breathtaking views over the long Costes ridge are sure to stay with you.

A hike between Montagne du Linceuil and Montagne de la Taillade. First through fruit trees, cherry and apricot trees and a few vineyards, you will leave this landscape behind to climb a more arid and stony path. From the Col de la Posterle, you will walk along a ridge where you can see the world around you for 300 km. In clear weather, those in the know will be able to recognise the Pic Saint-Loup. The Ventoux will be your constant point of reference.

A hike where you can enjoy permanent views of the surrounding mountains, from La Vanige to Montagne de Raton and the summit of Linceuil. You will be in the centre of a magnificent mountain cirque. A very beautiful hike north of Mont Ventoux, between the magnificent villages of Saint-Léger-du-Ventoux and Brantes. A climb via the Chaussène and Fontaube passes and a return trip along the banks of the Toulourenc.

Straddling the Drôme and its Ouvèze valley and the Vaucluse and its Toulourenc valley, the Montagne de Bluye offers magnificent views from its ridges.

A lovely, pleasant walk in the Baronnies under the holm oaks, with magnificent views of Mont Ventoux and the surrounding peaks. The Saint-Jean d'Ollon Chapel is well worth a visit.

The first part of this circular route involves a challenging climb, but you will be rewarded with an extraordinary site, caves to explore and superb views over the Ouvèze valley.
