Description of the walk

Head to Beauvoisin and, at the beginning of the village, park below the school bus shelter.

(S/E) Turn left towards the village centre and the town hall.

(1) When you reach Les Granges, leave the tarmac road, take the marked forest road and climb until you reach the Col de la Croix, at an altitude of 781 metres, and continue on the right.

(2) At the three-way junction that follows, take the slight uphill path on the right until you reach Col des Moulins.

(3) Take the narrow path on the left into the forest to reach the Crête des Costes.

(4) Climb up to the right to reach the summit at altitude 931 and descend along the ridge towards Col de la Pousterle, altitude 897.

(5) Stay on the forest road, keeping slightly to the left, until you reach Col de Linceuil, altitude 893.

(6) Turn left and descend the stony road for a few hundred metres.

(7) Caution! Leave the road and take the narrow path on the left into the forest. Stay in the undergrowth or on the edge of the forest.

(8) Cross the narrow stream to the right and go up the path opposite, a few metres upstream. Follow the Visorando gpx track carefully, as it is a little tricky. Walk along the northern edge of the meadow and enter the undergrowth for a few metres.

(9) Cross the Eyguemarse and walk across the meadow.

(10) Join the wide path and the forest road.

(11) Take it to the right towards the north-east to the Col des Lantons, altitude 726.

(12) Keep to the right and continue straight ahead at the next junction.

(13) Leave Chemin des Seaumes and take the stony path uphill to the left, joining a fork you passed on the way there.

(7) Follow the same route as on the way out, continuing straight ahead to the Col de Linceuil.

(6) Continue straight ahead to Col de Milmandre, altitude 854 metres.

(14) Take the descent on the right and stay on the Chemin de Milmandre for about 300 metres.

(15) Leave the wide road at the hairpin bend and continue straight ahead westwards until you reach a cross track.

(16) Go down the stony road on the left until you reach the road.

(17) Go down the road on the right until you reach the D523, then turn right towards the bus shelter (S/E).
