The starting point is at the motorhome area (near the Aquarium and Le Bournat), Rue du Bout du Pont.
Mountain bike trail no. 1
(S/E) Approach the river and follow it upstream.
(1) Go under the bridge and take the first right (Impasse du Lavoir), then turn left at the stop sign (Route du Gouffre). Continue to No. 566, just before the sign indicating the end of the village.
(2) Turn left onto Chemin de Nouvital.
(3) At the fork, take the first road on the right and continue until you exit the woods at the Proumeyssac car park.
(4) Turn left onto theD31E2, then right at the Gouffre de Proumeyssac staff car park.
(5) At the road, continue straight ahead on Chemin du Colombet and you will soon reach the next fork.
(6) Continue left onto Chemin du Tertre, turn right, then left, and continue straight ahead until you reach a road opposite the entrance to house no. 455.
(7) Turn right and follow the road to a place called "Bonnemort".
(8) Turn left onto Chemin du Lavoir and follow it to the end.
(9) Turn left onto the road and, after the sign for the village of Audrix, ignore the hairpin bend on the right and take the second road on the right towards the fountain. Continue straight ahead, pass the water treatment plant and you will come to a crossroads.
(10) Continue right until you reach the next crossroads.
(11) Turn left up Impasse de la Baronnie. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead on Route de Gravard until you reach Chemin de Campagne on the right.
(12) Take this road; at the three-way junction that follows, keep right and you will reach a crossroads.
(13) Continue straight ahead until you reach the end of Chemin des Egals.
(14) Climb up to the left and continue to Route du Peyrat.
(15) Turn right and continue to the next crossroads.
(16) Continue left onto Route des Terrières, then, at the fork, keep left onto Boucle de Cabans and find a path on the left in the 90° right-hand bend.
(17) Take the path on the left; once on the road, continue downhill on the left, then, at the next fork, keep left uphill towards La Redonde Haute. At the hamlet, leave the tarmac and continue straight ahead on the path until you reach a road.
(18) Take the path opposite (slightly to the left) and continue straight ahead until you reach the edge of the open area on the left. Then turn left and you will come to a carriageway.
(19) Turn right and you will come to a path on the left with a barrier, just before the crossroads.
(20) Take this path and enter the Campagne Departmental Forest, then follow the path straight ahead until you reach a road.
(21) Continue to the right, cross the hamlet of Fongibe and, immediately afterwards, take the gravel path on the left. At the end of this path, turn left and you will reach the Route de Saint-Cyprien.
(22) Continue straight ahead on Chemin de la Grotte and go to the hamlet of Péchalifour.
(23) At the end of the road, turn right (after the large building with an archway at the entrance) onto Route des Truffières, then turn right towards Saint-Cyprien and the circular Boucle de Péchalifour. Arrive at the next crossroads.
(24) Turn left onto Chemin du Moulin à Vent, then quickly bear right to leave the tarmac road and continue on Chemin de la Combe de l'Estang. At the houses, make a hairpin turn to the right and go down to the bottom of the slope. Continue on the tarmac road until you reach a crossroads.
(25) Continue straight ahead and you will reach the end of Chemin de la Borderie.
(26) Take a sharp right turn towards La Combe, then quickly take the first path climbing to the left and follow it to a road.
(27) Turn right, ignore a road on the right, and arrive at the next crossroads.
(28) Turn left onto the castine path, then at the four-way crossroads with a cross, continue left onto Impasse de la Mouthe and join the left-hand bend.
(29) Take the path on the right. Once out of the woods, pass the waste collection centre and continue to the D706.
(30) Cross it and continue straight ahead (Chemin du Bareyrou), downhill, then uphill. At the crossroads, turn left onto the D47 (Avenue de la Préhisoire). Pass the post office and turn left onto Rue de la Fontaine.
(31) Walk along the quays, against the current, and go up to the bridge over the Vézère.
(32) Take the footbridge alongside the bridge and turn left to follow the other bank, in the direction of the current, taking the cycle path to the level crossing.
(33) Cross it (towards "Les Eyzies"), then continue immediately left onto Chemin des Eymaries and join No. 446.
(34) Turn left towards the Eymaries farm. Pass the farm and join a road.
(35) Go up to the right (do not go towards the level crossing), ignore a road on the left, and take the first path on the left.
(36) Take this path, pass a first pond on your left, then a second on your right, and arrive at a fork.
(37) Turn left and follow the path through the forest to a place called Les Plagnes.
(38) Turn right and continue straight ahead until you reach the end of Route des Plagnes. Turn left, ignore Chemin des Chênes Verts, and arrive at Route de la Croix de Monpazier.
(39) Take the path opposite, which climbs to the left of the cross, and turn right on the plateau. Pass through the group of houses and you will arrive at a crossroads.
(40) At the end of Chemin de la Pêche, turn left and continue along this road to No. 1027 in the hamlet of La Peyrière. At the fork, turn right towards La Peyrière/Petit Paris and continue to No. 1027.
(41) Immediately afterwards, take the dirt track on the right and continue to the road. Continue left on the road until you reach the second crossroads.
(42) Turn left onto Route de la Peyrière, heading towards "Petit Paris", then immediately right onto Impasse des Pâturages, and keep right at the next junction. At the road, turn right and continue to the end of Impasse de Laval.
(43) Continue on the second road on the left, Route de Manaurie. Pass the rubbish bins, then turn left onto Route des Mouthe and continue to the corner of No. 265.
(44) Turn right onto Impasse des Tulipes and continue straight ahead on the path.
(45) Cross the road and continue along the path opposite, then turn left and you will reach a road.
(46) Follow it to the left and continue to the D710.
(47) Continue left towards Le Bugue and continue on the D710 until you reach the roundabout.
(48) Turn right, cross the bridge over the Vézère, and reach the motorhome area after taking Allée de la Vézère on the left (S/E).
