Parking at the entrance to the village.
(S/E) From the visitor car park, head towards the village. At the entrance to the village, follow the D201 to the right towards Carniol. At the bend, continue straight ahead and descend the path along the bottom of the cliff.
(1) At the first intersection, turn right at an acute angle and join the road, which you follow to the left. Continue to the bridge.
(2) Cross the bridge and continue right on the D201. After the road sign announcing "bends over 2km", continue to the first intersection with a wide path on the right.
(3) Turn right (no sign, yellow markings a little further on) and follow the path that leads to the Saut du Moine waterfall.
(4) Ford the stream straight ahead and continue opposite, climbing up a small valley to reach a track at the hamlet of L'Abbadie.
(5) Turn left onto the track and walk alongside the hamlet. Continue along the track, ignoring the small paths on the left and right, until you reach another track (fire hydrant).
(6) Turn right and follow the track uphill, ignoring the paths on the right or left. You will reach a road at a hairpin bend.
(7) Turn left onto the road and climb up to the plateau until you reach a clear area on the right.
(8) Turn right onto this esplanade, take the path at the end of it and climb through the vegetation until you reach the intersection with a track.
(9) Turn left. At the end of the path (television relay station), continue along the road.
(10) When the road forks to the right, turn left onto a path that joins the D114, which you take to the left to reach Vachères. A visit to the village is recommended.
(11) Leave the village via the Route de Sainte-Croix-à-Lauze (D114). Ignore the first path on the right that you took earlier.
(12) At the next intersection, near the war memorial, leave the road and continue straight ahead on a path. Stay on this path, ignoring any paths branching off to the right or left (yellow markings).
(13) Shortly after a house (on your right), leave the path that branches off to the left and continue straight ahead on the small yellow-marked path that runs along the edge of the plateau. The path widens. Stay on the main path until you reach the junction with the GR®.
(14) Turn right and continue along a wide path to the restored hamlet of Grand-Banc.
(15) Turn right and descend onto the road. After a hairpin bend, when the road branches off to the right towards Fenouillet, continue straight ahead on the path. At the intersection about 200 metres further on, turn right and continue to the next intersection (cross).
(16) Turn left onto the path overlooking the road before joining it. Turn left onto the road to reach Oppedette (a visit to the village is recommended) and the car park (S/E).
