Boucle Lauzes et Vieilles Pierres à Saint-Amand-de-Coly

From the hiking information point at the Montignac Tourist Office, head towards Sarlat (D704). After 6 km, turn left towards Saint-Amand-de-Coly. Park at Place du 14 Juillet, a car park with picnic tables and shelter.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, head towards the village centre and the abbey. Follow Route de l’Abbaye for 50 m until you reach the steps on the right.

(1) Take the stairs. A few steps and a steep path through the boxwood lead you up above the village. Follow this path until you reach the hamlet of Le Peuch, cross the hamlet and continue straight on to the cross and Route de Chazelle.

(2) Cross the road, then continue straight ahead on the Route du Peuch. Carry on to the first junction, at a right-hand bend.

(3) Turn onto the path on the right until you reach Route de la Chironde, which you must cross with care to continue straight ahead on Route de Lasserre. Carry on and cross the stream until you reach the next fork.

(4) Cross the dirt track, then take the path opposite. Follow the path until you reach the road at the hamlet of Lasserre.

(5) Turn left onto the road, then cross a road to take the Chemin de la Bouygue. Cross the hamlet and continue, staying on the path on the right, to reach the Route de Cheyrat.

(6) Turn left, then at the first fork, take the path on the right. At the first junction of paths, stay on the path furthest to the left, then continue on the path on the right until you reach Route de Chassagne.

(7) Take this road on the left and follow it to the hamlet of the same name. Cross through it and continue along this same road until you reach the first path on the right.

(8) Follow this path to its end, then turn left at the junction. Follow the path to the Chironde stream, which you must cross to reach the road of the same name.

(9) Take the Route de la Chironde (D64) on the left, and follow it carefully until you come out of the first bend.

(10) Turn right and, once you reach La Tour, continue to the left until you reach a fork.

(11) Turn onto the path on the right, heading towards the hamlet of Mortefond. Join the Route de Mortefond and follow it to the right until you reach the hamlet.

(12) On leaving the hamlet of Mortefond, turn left onto the path and continue to Clos de Veysset

(13) Turn right into Impasse d'Asplat and follow it to the end.

(14) Continue to the right along the path until you return to the Place du 14 Juillet in Saint-Amand-de-Coly (S/E).
