Departure from Faulx, Rue du Stade (school car park).
(S/E) Turn right up Rue Maurice Barrès. Immediately after setting off, note the newly restored monument on your right, Rue du Chambon.
Go up to the left-hand bend, continue straight ahead on Rue de la Barre until you reach the end.
(1) At the end of this street, turn right onto Ruelle Ferrée, which leaves the village and climbs towards the woods.
After leaving the village, climb for about 700 metres.
(2) At the first intersection, turn onto the path that branches off to the left. This path curves slightly, remaining roughly horizontal for about 1 km until you reach elevation 300 on the map (intersection of paths).
At this intersection, continue straight ahead. After a slight curve to the left then right, you will arrive at an open area (grassy and partially shaded), where you can rest and admire the landscape (Mauchère Valley, Custines Malleloy).
(3) Then continue straight ahead to reach a stony path that descends for about 1.2 km to Malleloy. After passing the church on your right, you will arrive at a small triangular square with a few benches where you can rest.
(4) Cross the Mauchère bridge and shortly afterwards, take the first path on the left.
(5) Then take the old railway line, which is now the "Voie Verte de la Mauchère" greenway.
(6) Cross the D90 (take care) and continue along the Greenway to Faux.
(7) Take the third exit on the left (Chemin de la Taye d'Amance) almost at the edge of the village; turn left onto Rue Saint-Pierre to arrive near the church.
(8) Turn left and then pass by a small fountain opposite the post office. Cross the D90 (Rue de la Libération) and continue straight ahead, into the street just to the right of the post office.
After the bridge over the Mauchère, this street becomes a footpath that passes near the schools and leads back to the car park where you started (S/E).
