Car park in front of Sivry church.
(S/E) Follow the Grande Rue (with the church on your right) for 400 m until you reach the village boundary.
(1) After crossing a stream, turn right onto the path leading uphill. After 700 m, at the junction, carry on straight ahead onto a wider path. It narrows quickly and, after 300 m, just before the woods, it turns right. Follow it to a former microlight airfield that has been turned into a proper little zoo (mouflons, llamas, etc.).
(2) Walk 300 m straight on. At the junction, take the path on your left and, after 1.2 km, you’ll reach a Fork in the road.
(3) Turn left uphill between two fields. The path turns right and leads to the edge of a woodland. Follow this to a road (an extension of Rue du Mont Saint-Jean).
(4) Follow it uphill for 100 m.
(5) Turn right onto a path (at the bend at the top, there’s a lovely view in front of you). You’ll come to a Fork in the road after 250 m.
(6) Continue along the path on your right, which leads into the woodland for 1.2 km.
(7) Take the path on the left and, after about 200 m, you’ll reach a junction.
(8) Turn slightly to the right and follow the edge of the woodland. Continue until you reach a fork in the road once you’ve entered the woodland.
(9) At the fork in the road, take the path on the right for 650 m
(10) At the junction, turn left. After 250 m, you’ll leave the woodland and find yourself on a very wide path. At the pylon, you’ll be at the highest point of the route, at an altitude of 400 m. After 400 m, at the junction, continue to your right along the Chemin de Saint-Nic and you’ll then reach a four-way crossroads.
(11) Carry on along the path directly opposite until you reach a tarmac road.
(12) Turn right onto it and follow it to the hamlet of Caténou.
(13) At the Fork in the road, turn left towards Sivry, onto the D90e, to return to the church (S/E).
