Circular walk between Lake Thorenc and the Col de Bleine

The walk starts and ends at the car park right next to Lake Thorenc. The aim is to enjoy the magnificent view at the foot of a TDF relay mast: to the south, the waters of the lake at the start of the walk reflect the surrounding forest, and further to the east stands the Castellaras, a natural defensive stronghold.

(S/E) Head towards the Route de Castellane (D2), cross it carefully and then follow it to the left.

Hello,
An easy and enjoyable walk overall.
The route is relatively shaded throughout, and there’s a magnificent view from the highest point.
Please note that between markers 4 and 5, the route is marked to take a path on the right, but this is almost invisible and you’ll quickly find yourself blocked by branches and other obstacles. I’d advise following the main path and, a little further up, turning right again to reach marker 5 as planned on the route.
Have a lovely summer
Dominique

A lovely walk, mostly through the shady forest; an easy route to follow with no difficulties, returning from Thorenc to the lake on the banks of the Ravinette stream in the valley
