Circular route between Balgau and Nambsheim

Parking spaces are available opposite the École Élémentaire des Muguets primary school, along Rue de Nambsheim. The start of the route is located at the junction of Rue de Nambsheim and Rue de la Paix, not far from the village cemetery.

(S/E) With Rue de la Paix behind you, turn left onto Rue de Nambsheim, heading towards the bell tower. Pass the village school and a small cemetery. Ignore Rue des Seigneurs and Impasse du Grossgarten. Just after the fire station, at the Y-junction, turn left at the church onto Rue de l'Église. Keep left at the next Y-junction.

(1) At the end of the street, at a stop sign where there is a small chapel, turn left onto the district road and then immediately left onto Rue Rheinfeld. Continue along this street until you reach a T-junction, then turn left. Then turn onto the first path on the right, towards the Black Forest. Pass under the high-voltage power lines and in front of a wayside cross.

(2) Take the next path on the left, which runs between two fields, towards Nambsheim. At the next T-junction, turn right and then left to reach Nambsheim from Rue de Blodelsheim. At the crossroads where the school, church and village hall are located, turn right into Rue du Château, then left at the T-junction.

(3) At the end of the street, turn diagonally right onto Rue du Rhin. At the five-way crossroads, turn left onto Rue du Bois and you will come to a crossroads.

(4) Turn right onto Rue de Neuf-Brisach. Just after a wayside cross and just after passing the last house in the village, turn right onto Chemin Muenschweg. Ignore a path on the left that passes between two fields.

(5) At the T-junction, turn left to return to the village via Rue des Prés.

(6) At the end of the street, at the roundabout, take the second road on the right, D13, Rue de l'Église, towards Balgau. Cross the road carefully to take this road on the left, via a tarmac path that runs alongside the carriage road. Leave the village of Nambsheim. Pass under the high-voltage power lines again. About a hundred metres after entering the village of Balgau, you will come to the crossroads of Rue de la Paix (S/E).
