Circular loop in the Peyrauds Forest

This short forest walk takes you off the beaten track. It is very peaceful, and you are unlikely to meet anyone. You will walk alongside a small, tranquil pond, ideal for a break in the heart of nature and to enjoy a moment of serenity.

Description of the walk

The start is at the junction of Route de Papillons Blancs and the hiking trail. Park at the side of the road. Please note that the hiking trail is not signposted.

(S/E) Take the path that crosses the road heading north. Continue along this path, which follows the edge of the forest, and turn right after 500 m. Walk to the crossroads.

(1) Continue straight on for 300 m. Go down a slope and walk alongside a small pond on your right.

(2) Turn right onto a tarmac road, pass a few buildings and continue to the junction with Route des Papillons Blancs.

(3) Cross it and continue straight on for 500 m until you reach a forest track on your right.

(4) Turn onto this forest track, ignore a path on the right and continue straight on for 400 m until you reach a junction of forest tracks.

(5) Leave the forest, continue straight on along the edge and turn right to return to your car park (S/E).
