All routes will be recorded on the ground in May 2023.
Departure and stages:
Avallon seems to be the ideal starting point. The town is easily accessible by train and car.
Food
You can buy food at the following locations:
- Avallon: numerous mini-markets in the town centre.
- Asquins: Proxi Marché Asquins.
- Vézelay: numerous shops.
Water
You will pass through many villages with cemeteries and fountains (where you can fill your water bottles). Otherwise, don't hesitate to ring the doorbell of a local resident
Accommodation
- A fairly comprehensive list of accommodation options is available on the Parc du Morvan website. It is advisable to book in advance. Credit cards are not always accepted. Please bring an alternative form of payment.
- Bivouacking and camping: in Asquins, at the municipal campsite. At Lac du Crescent, you can spend the night in a tent (please note: you will need your own equipment).
Internet, 4G, dead zones
There are white zones on certain parts of the route. If you are using Visorando and, more generally, your phone + GPS for guidance, it is essential to download your maps at the start of each stage.
So be careful and plan ahead.
