Park in the Ribérou port car park.
(S/E) Head towards the lock on the Seudre. Cross it by turning left. Turn left again to follow the river, passing under the N150 bridge.
(1) Look for the bridge on the right that you will need to cross on the way back and continue straight ahead along the Seudre. When you reach the hamlet of Le Breuil on the other bank, continue for about 100 metres.
(2) Take the path on the right marked with a blue No. 9 sign pointing left, until you reach the Route du Fie. This path does not appear on the map but is clearly visible on the ground.
(3) Turn right and head towards Ilate.
(4) Turn left onto Rue des Loges, then right onto Rue des Ouches. Turn left onto Rue Saint-Saturnin, right onto Place du Bénitier and continue almost opposite onto Rue des Passeroses, which joins Route du Fie.
(5) Continue straight ahead. Pass a street on your right (Allée du Moulin) and turn right at the next street, Voie de la Haute Lande.
(6) Before reaching the cul-de-sac, turn left. Pass a small car park and turn left again towards the lake. You will reach the lake opposite the footbridge that leads to the island.
(7) Turn left without crossing it and walk along the lake until you reach the path you took on the way there.
(1) Turn left and return to the lock on the Seudre.
Cross it and return to the car park where you started (S/E).
